Vernon Unsworth aka “Vern Unsworth” (born June 23, 1955) is a British Rescue Worker, Cave Diver and Financial Broker from St. Albans, Hertfordshire. He is also an Insurance & Finance Consultant at Affinity Insurance & Mortgage Services.
He has started his career in cave diving by exploring the cave system of Yorkshire Dales. Furthermore, he has also conducted many rescue operations in England.
On 23 June 2018, 12 Boys (Football teenage Players) and their 25-year-old football coach “Ekaphol Chantawong” has trapped inside the six-mile-long Tham Luang cave. Vernon is the first foreign rescuer who has helped Thailand Rescue team to save the lives of 12 players and their coach.
Unsworth has also played an important role to bring them out from the Tham Luang cave in the Doi Nang Non-mountain range. But unfortunately, Saman Gunan (Thai Navy Seal Diver) has lost his life during this rescue operation on July 6, 2018.
The 63-year-old Financial Broker has come to fame light due to his controversy along with the founder of Tesla Motors. Elon Musk (SpaceX CEO) has called him a “pedo guy (pedophile)” in his tweet on July 15, 2018.
However, after finding himself in trouble Elon has deleted all those controversial tweets against him. After this, he has also apologized to Mr. Unsworth for all his Pedo tweets and other actions.
In an interview, diver Vern has told media that he will take a legal action against him soon.
