Rayshard Brooks (born in 1993 – died June 12, 2020) was an African-American Restaurant Worker from Atlanta, United States. He was shot dead by Garrett Rolfe (Atlanta Police Officer) on June 12, 2020.

Officer Devin Brosnan received information that Brooks was asleep in the car and blocked the restaurant road area. After a few minutes, Brosnan and Rolfe arrived. They used the breathalyzer that showed that Rayshard blood-alcohol content was above the prescribed limit.
Then, the police officers handcuffed him. However, the African-American man ran from police custody. Rolfe fired three bullets on him[1]NPR. He kicked on the body of Brooks lying on the floor. Soon, the Atlanta Police Department took serious action on the two guilty police officers.
Rolfe charged with violation of oath and felony. In May 2020, a middle-aged African-American George Floyd also died in the police custody. Derek Chauvin put his knee on Floyd’s neck and that caused his death.
