Rajkumari Devi (born in 1947) is the Ex-wife of LJP supremo Ram Vilas Paswan from Shaharbani, Khagaria, Bihar, India. She is a home-maker and recognized as the first wife of center minister Ram Vilas Paswan.
The lady came into news after her utter sadness over the news of her beloved ex-husband’s demise on 8 October 2020.
Her condition was miserable to see moreover, everyone was surprised how she can be so sad about the death of a person who left her alone after a 21-years marriage.

Married Life
Rajkumari was married to Ram Vilas Paswan in 1960, she was only 13-years-old at that time and the ram was 14 years.
They also shared two daughters Usha and Asha. She really loved the minister. But unluckily the marriage failed miserably. According to Ram Vilas Paswan’s ex-wife, he never gave her the respect and affection she deserved as a woman.
And to make the situation even more worse Ram Vilas fallen for an air hostess Rina Sharma.
They met quite a few times in flight and then indulged in an affair. This affair shattered Rajkumari Devi’s life, her 23-years-old-marriage ended up by a divorce. He married to air hostess in 1983 and since then he and Reena Paswan are staying happily together.
According to sources he was not on good terms with his ex-wife Rajkumari and their daughters. Their firstborn Asha admitted it many times in stages that he did not love them and left their mom only because she is less educated and a villager.
Children
She never gets love from her marriage all Rajkumari Devi has is her daughters and endless solitude. The 73-years-old is still waiting for her husband to come and sit with her and talk to her. But her hope ended with the death of the central minister.

However, his only symbol she owns is their daughters who are not soft towards their dad like mom Rajkumari. Her firstborn Usha is not much active socially as her mom but their younger daughter Asha herself is a politician.
And Moreover, she belongs to RJD, not LJP. She is married to Sadhu Paswan a former LJP MLA, who won two times consecutively.
But in 2019 when Chirag holds the command over the party he did not give the ticket to him. So, in protest, Sadhu and Asha both left the party and joined the opposition.
Controversies
Ram Vilas Paswan was always busy building his political empire, he never took any risk that could damage his personality in front of the public.
This is the possible reason that he kept his second marriage secret for a long time. According to the affidavit submitted by him in the 1997 elections, he declared Rajkumari as his present wife and mentioned nothing about Rina while actually he was divorced from her at that time.
Rajkumari Devi was left alone by Ram Vilas and he never gave her the respect she deserved.
This matter was again highlighted in 2014 when Chirag Paswan[1]IMDb, Ram Vilas’s son from his second marriage get involved in a heated argument with Tejasvi Yadav boy of Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi. It was Chiraag who started the argument but eventually, it became backfire for himself.
Tejasvi questioned him that who is the real wife of Ram Paswan as he never declared his mom as his wife anywhere in writing.
To sort out this matter Ram Vilas Paswan present his divorce papers with Rajkumari Devi his ex-wife which stated that they were divorced in 1981. That in turn lead to another controversy that why he has declared her as his wife in 1997 if they were divorced.
Some Lesser Known Facts About Rajkumari Devi
- Rajkumari loved the ex-LJP chief wholeheartedly. She never kept any grudges towards him no matter how badly he treated her. Ram Vilas’s ex-wife stayed in the home where she entered as a bride of him even after their divorce.
- According to Rajkumari Devi, Chirag never visited his paternal village ever. He also disrespected her like his father, and never shared any empathy towards her.
- Mother of two never spoke any word for the late minister not because of any anger but due to her compassion for him. According to her, she can not stay happy by keeping him sad. Even if his happiness relies on another woman.
- According to her, she last met him in 2015. Ram Vilas came to his village for a rally and she went to see him and even touched his feet but he did not utter a single word for her.
- Her daughters Asha and Usha did not share a cool temper like their mom. they expressed their anger openly towards their dad. They stated that he always mistreated them and was never fair towards them. Ram Vilas never took care of their education or upbringing.
- Her daughter Asha said in 2019 that she wants to compete with her dad and will stand against him in the election if a ticket was given by RJD.
