Phil Longo (born in 1970) is an American Football Coach from New Jersey, United States. Mack Brown (North Carolina coach) stated that he wanted an offensive coordinator. Brown also said that he wanted someone would help his team score a lot of points. Later, Longo is hired by UNC as an offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
Longo earlier used to coach the Mississippi team since December 2016. Moreover, on 11 December 2018, the announcement was made by the school. In fact, UNC also hired Lonnie Galloway (former Louisville co-offensive coordinator) to serve as its receivers coach.
They also appointed Brandon Jones (former Texas Tech offensive line coach) to serve as offensive line coach. Mr. Mack Brown said in a statement that Longo remained one of the most successful play callers in college football for many years and at every level.
