The 43-years-old lady owned a Day Care Centre in the Minneapolis. In November 2016, a father was dropping off his son at Karia’s home. Later, she took her to the basement, the father heard a voice of a crying baby. He immediately rushed towards the basement and saw 16 months old toddler was hanging from a noose.
However, he saved the child and fled from the place to the nearby hospital. Karia then also fled from the house in her minivan. She hit her car with another car. When the owner of the car “Salvador Lema” came out of the car to see the damage then Karia dragged him 10 blocks in the street. Later, she hit 29 years old bicyclist “Jacob Carrigan”. Both of them was brutally injured and faced many broken bones.
In addition, she pulled near Par Avenue overpass after hitting a pregnant woman car and threatened to jump. The people who were nearby her grabbed her until the police came.
On 16 July 2018, she was found guilty in the charge of attempted murder and third-degree assault case. The 43 years old got her punishment of 10 years probation by Hennepin County court.
