Luke Hemmings (born July 16, 1996) is an Australian Singer, Songwriter, Rhythm Guitarist, Instagram Star, and Social Media Personality from Sydney. He is best known as the lead vocalist of 5 Seconds of Summer aka 5SOS.
It is an Australian pop-rock band launched in 2011 from Sydney, New South Wales. Some of the band members are Calum Hood, Michael Clifford, and Ashton Irwin. They rose to international acclaim while touring with One Direction on their Take Me Home Tour.
The band members first started their careers after uploading songs covers on their respective YouTube channels. Furthermore, the band’s self-entitled YouTube channel has more than 6.55 million subscribers as of October 2019. On June 15, 2014, 5SOS came up with their debut Extended Play titled “Don’t Stop”.
Later, the same month, on June 27, 2014, they released their self-entitled studio album by Capitol Records. The famous songs of the album are “She Looks So Perfect”, “Don’t Stop”, “Amnesia”, and “Good Girls”.
As per the source, the album topped at number one in 14 countries. It also was certified gold in 10 countries and platinum in four other countries. Hemmings co-wrote the majority of the group’s songs.
