Captain Deepak Sathe “दीपक साठे” (born 24 April 1961) was an Indian Pilot, Air force officer, entrepreneur, commander, and Aviation Air India Captain from Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. He was famously known in the country as the Commander of Air India. He was a professional pilot of Jet Planes.
As per the sources, he started working in Air India in the year 2005. Before this, he used to work as a wing commander for Indian Air Force and known for flying “MiG-21 supersonic jet fighter”.
Due to his excellence and talent, he was also honored with President’s Medal and Sword of Honour in his professional career. The popular Commander of Air India died at the age of 59 in a horrific accident that occurred at Kozhikode airport in Kerala.
As per the sources, he was designated as a pilot in the flight IX 1344 alongside the co-pilot, First Officer Akhilesh Kumar.
