She and Nawazuddin are recently found out to be linked with the Call Data Records (CDR) scam. The crime branch has said that they have found the involvement of Nawazuddin and Anjali in the CDR scam. Abhishek Trimukhe, DCP (Crime), Thane told the media that during the probe of this case, the police has found out that Nawaz’s lawyer Rizwan Siddique obtained call details of Anjali from the main culprits in the CDR scam. The police has obtained Rizwan’s coversations from a culprit’s mobile phone. According to the Times of India, three of the culprits involved in the CDR racket obtained Anjali’s call records from their sources, and handed it over to Rizwan for Rs. 50,000.

In reply to the above allegations, Nawazuddin Siddiqui tweeted that the allegations are random, and he is disgusted by the media picking up such stories and asking him questions regarding the whole incident.
