After seeing her bad condition, doctors advised her parents to take her Atlanta Scottish Rite to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston and placed her on ECMO life-support. After spending 92 days in hospital recovering, on 24 April 2012 doctor released her to go home. She spent a year and a half on dialysis. On September 13, 2013, Hale received a life-saving kidney transplant from her mother.
